Long Beach, California – Authorities have identified the woman who was fatally hit by a vehicle in Long Beach last week as 46-year-old Jaime Ferrera, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.

Long Beach police responded to a report of a traffic collision involving a pedestrian at approximately 9:05 p.m. on Friday near the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and 36th Street.

Investigators said Ferrera was crossing Atlantic Avenue when she was struck by a vehicle heading southbound. Emergency personnel arrived and declared her deceased at the scene.
