Galt, California – Two vehicles collided Thursday morning in Galt, according to authorities.
Emergency crews responded at about 6:26 a.m. to the intersection of Ayers Lane and Carol Drive.
When they arrived, Galt police officers discovered a man lying on the roadway after being ejected from a pickup truck involved in the crash. He was transported to a nearby hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
Investigators said the pickup had been speeding, failed to stop at a stop sign, and struck another vehicle making a turn at the intersection. The impact caused the truck to go airborne before landing on its side.
Police said neither drugs nor alcohol contributed to the incident.
