North Hollywood, California – A violent three-car collision early Tuesday morning left two vehicles overturned and temporarily disrupted Metrolink service near Vineland Avenue and Vanowen Street.
The crash occurred around 6:40 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. One vehicle ended up on its roof, while another came to rest on top of a separate car. Firefighters performed what was described as “a quick door pop” to free one individual trapped inside a vehicle. Emergency crews also worked to secure the area as a railroad crossing signal had fallen into the roadway.
As first responders treated the victims, a nearby Metrolink train was stopped until the scene was declared safe. Normal train service resumed once the area was cleared.
