[09-16-2025] Los Angeles County, CA – Three-Vehicle Crash in North Hollywood Halts Metrolink Train

North Hollywood, California – A violent three-car collision early Tuesday morning left two vehicles overturned and temporarily disrupted Metrolink service near Vineland Avenue and Vanowen Street.

The crash occurred around 6:40 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. One vehicle ended up on its roof, while another came to rest on top of a separate car. Despite the dramatic scene, none of the six people evaluated at the site appeared to have suffered critical injuries, officials said.

Firefighters performed what was described as “a quick door pop” to free one individual trapped inside a vehicle. Emergency crews also worked to secure the area as a railroad crossing signal had fallen into the roadway.

As first responders treated the victims, a nearby Metrolink train was stopped until the scene was declared safe. Normal train service resumed once the area was cleared.

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.

Steps to Take If You Are Involved in a Multi-Vehicle Accident

Being involved in a multi-vehicle accident can be overwhelming, especially when several cars and passengers are affected at once. Knowing what to do immediately after the crash can help protect your health, your rights, and your ability to seek fair compensation.

1. Check for injuries and call 911.

Safety should be your top priority. Call emergency services right away and request medical attention for anyone injured at the scene. Even if you feel fine, it’s important to get checked by a medical professional.

2. Move to a safe location if possible.

If your vehicle can be moved safely, try to pull over to the side of the road to avoid further collisions. Use hazard lights and warning signals to alert other drivers.

3. Document the accident.

Take photos of all vehicles involved, the damage, road conditions, and any traffic signals or signs. Collect information from other drivers, including names, insurance details, and license plates.
