Fullerton, California – Seven teenagers were hospitalized after a pickup truck carrying eight people crashed and rolled over late Saturday night in Fullerton, authorities reported.
The collision occurred around 11 p.m. in the 1000 block of East Elm Avenue, according to the Fullerton Police Department. Responding officers found the pickup truck on its side with all eight occupants — described as teenagers — still inside.
Police said seven of the eight were transported to nearby hospitals with minor injuries. Footage from the scene showed firefighters and paramedics assisting several teens wearing neck braces as they were placed into ambulances.
The driver, described as an adult teenager, underwent DUI testing at the scene. No arrests were made, officials said.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Can Parents File a Claim When Their Teen Is Injured in a Rollover Accident Caused by Another Teenager?
Yes. Parents can file an injury claim if their teen was hurt in a rollover crash caused by another teen driver. Under California law, the at-fault teen’s insurance — and in some cases their parents’ insurance — can be held responsible for medical bills, pain and suffering, emotional trauma, rehabilitation, and any long-term effects on your child’s quality of life. Working with experienced rollover accident attorneys is essential, as rollover collisions often involve complex evidence, multiple parties, and questions about negligence, supervision, and vehicle safety.
Parents may also be able to pursue compensation for out-of-pocket expenses, future medical care, and the impact the injury has on the teen’s schooling or daily activities. A trusted car accident law firm can determine whether additional parties — such as a vehicle owner, supervising adult, or a negligent manufacturer — contributed to the crash. In more severe cases, a personal injury lawyer California or even a specialized truck accident attorney in california may be necessary if a commercial vehicle or oversized pickup contributed to the rollover.
