Vista, California – Authorities have identified the man who was killed in a weekend collision on eastbound State Route 78 in Vista as 26-year-old Hunter Michael Bean of Escondido.
According to the Medical Examiner’s Office, Bean was outside his disabled pickup truck on the highway, just east of Vista Village Drive, when he was struck by another vehicle around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
