[05-28-2025] Los Angeles, CA – Jose Nieto Alviso Identified as Victim Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash in South Gate

Los Angeles, California – A 66-year-old man who lost his life in a fiery two-car collision in South Gate was officially identified on Tuesday.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department reported that emergency crews arrived at the scene at 6:28 a.m. Monday, at the intersection of Imperial Highway and Garfield Avenue. One individual was declared dead on-site.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner later identified the deceased as Jose Nieto Alviso.

Another person involved in the crash was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, though details about their condition were not immediately released.

According to ABC7, the collision took place in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven and may have stemmed from a domestic dispute that began on Exeter Street in Paramount, approximately four miles from the crash site.
