How to Claim Compensation in a Hit and Run Accident
If you’ve been injured in a hit-and-run accident, you still have legal options to pursue compensation. Even if the at-fault driver isn’t immediately identified, you may be able to recover damages through your own insurance or other available legal channels. Working with experienced hit and run accident attorneys is crucial to navigating this complex process.
Your attorney can help you file a claim under your uninsured motorist coverage, investigate the crash to identify the fleeing driver, and pursue compensation for medical bills, lost wages, property damage, and pain and suffering. If the accident occurred in the Central Valley, a Fresno car accident attorney can provide local insight and aggressive representation tailored to your case.
It’s important to act quickly after a hit-and-run—document the scene, report the incident to the police, and seek immediate medical attention. The sooner you involve legal counsel, the better your chances of maximizing compensation.
