Los Angeles, California – Authorities have identified the man struck and killed by two vehicles in South Los Angeles as 28-year-old Clyde Miller.
The fatal crash happened around 7:35 p.m. last Friday on Figueroa Street, just north of 81st Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Miller was walking outside a marked crosswalk when he was hit by a silver Toyota Corolla traveling southbound.
The impact threw Miller into the roadway. The driver of the Toyota pulled over and attempted to help, police said. Moments later, a blue vehicle traveling southbound on Figueroa struck Miller a second time before fleeing the scene without stopping.
Paramedics rushed Miller to a hospital, but he later died from his injuries. The Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner confirmed his identity on Thursday.
