South Los Angeles, California – A 38-year-old woman who lost her life after being hit by a vehicle in a South Los Angeles hit-and-run was identified on Monday. Authorities are still searching for the driver responsible.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Ashley Hall, a resident of Los Angeles, was struck around 9:20 p.m. on May 17 near the intersection of Figueroa Street and 115th Street.

The vehicle involved was traveling northbound on Figueroa when it hit Hall. The driver failed to stop and fled the scene, police reported.

Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded but pronounced Hall dead at the location.

Anyone with details regarding the crash is encouraged to contact the LAPD South Traffic Division at 323-421-2500 and request to speak with Officer Noland.
