Huntington Beach, California – Authorities have identified 29-year-old Alec Barbisan of Huntington Beach as the man killed early Monday morning in a two-vehicle crash on Pacific Coast Highway.
According to the Huntington Beach Police Department, the collision occurred around 2:15 a.m. on PCH just south of Warner Avenue. Barbisan was driving an Audi Q5 when it struck the rear of a Ford Expedition traveling ahead of it.
First responders arrived to find Barbisan critically injured. Despite emergency efforts, he was pronounced dead shortly after the crash, the Orange County Sheriff’s Coroner’s Department confirmed.
Police said the driver of the Ford Expedition remained at the scene, cooperated with investigators, and showed no signs of impairment.
