How To Claim Compensation When Someone Dies in a Pedestrian Accident
Losing a loved one in a pedestrian accident is a devastating experience—especially when the driver responsible flees the scene. In such cases, families have legal options to pursue justice and financial compensation. Here’s what you need to know.
Filing a Wrongful Death Claim
If a pedestrian is killed due to someone else’s negligence, surviving family members may be eligible to file a claim with the help of experienced wrongful death attorneys. These claims seek compensation for funeral expenses, loss of income, medical bills, and emotional suffering. Typically, spouses, children, or dependents can pursue these claims.
When It’s a Hit-and-Run
When the driver involved flees the scene, it becomes more complicated—but not hopeless.
