Vermont Vista, California – Authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a woman who allegedly fled on foot after a two-car collision in the Vermont Vista neighborhood of Los Angeles that left a 25-year-old man dead.
The crash occurred around 9:20 p.m. on Saturday, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Investigators said the woman, believed to be in her 30s, was driving a Porsche Panamera southbound on Figueroa Street when it collided with a vehicle traveling east on 91st Street.
The victim, identified by the Los Angeles Police Department as Emerson Noel Escobar Gonzalez, was trapped inside his vehicle and died at the scene, according to emergency responders.
After the crash, the woman allegedly abandoned the Porsche and fled the area on foot in an unknown direction.
