Huntington Beach, California – A fatal crash in Huntington Beach claimed the life of a pedestrian early Sunday morning after a 21-year-old driver—believed to be under the influence—struck the victim.
According to a press release from the Huntington Beach Police Department, the incident occurred at approximately 12:43 a.m. near the intersection of Atlanta Avenue and Delaware Street.

CBS Los Angeles reported that police discovered the victim upon arrival, and although emergency medical personnel responded promptly, the pedestrian could not be revived.
