Los Angeles, California – A fatal collision between a motorcycle and another vehicle claimed one life in the Westchester area on Tuesday evening.
Authorities from the Los Angeles Police Department responded to the scene at the intersection of Centinela Avenue and Alvern Street shortly before 5:45 p.m. following reports of a serious crash involving a motorcyclist.
Footage shared on the Citizen App shows a significant police presence at the location, with yellow tape blocking off the scene near the Playa Summit apartment complex.
Near a crosswalk, responders had set up a white canopy over the body of the motorcyclist. A helmet was visible on the pavement just outside the tent.
Personnel from the Los Angeles Fire Department were also on site, though no individuals were transported to the hospital, according to officials.
The area remained closed for several hours as officers from LAPD’s Pacific Division worked to collect evidence, speak with witnesses, and search for security camera footage that might clarify how the crash occurred.
As of now, authorities have not released the identity, age, or gender of the deceased, and there is no confirmed information about the condition of a second individual reportedly involved in the incident.
