Hesperia, California – A deadly four-vehicle crash shut down Summit Valley Road in Hesperia on Wednesday afternoon, leading to prolonged road closures and a law enforcement investigation.
The collision occurred around 1:44 p.m. on June 18, 2025, near Foley Road. The vehicles involved included a black Honda Accord, a blue Toyota Tacoma, a white GMC work truck, and a FedEx Ground delivery van.
Emergency responders from San Bernardino County Fire discovered the Honda with severe front and side impact. The Toyota suffered major front-end damage, the GMC work truck had left the roadway and ended up in the desert area east of the scene, and the FedEx vehicle was found overturned in the southbound lane.
According to the Victorville office of the California Highway Patrol, the man driving the Honda died at the scene. His name has not yet been made public, pending notification of his family by the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office.
The other drivers, each traveling alone, sustained only minor injuries and did not require transport to a hospital. As of 3:31 p.m., the coroner had not arrived, and all vehicles were still on-site. Both directions of Summit Valley Road remained closed with extended delays anticipated.
CHP officials are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
