Anaheim, California – Police in Anaheim are asking for the public’s help in finding a driver who fatally struck a pedestrian and then fled.
The crash occurred just before midnight on Aug. 9, near the intersection of Knott and Orange Avenues. Responding officers discovered that a man had been hit while attempting to cross Knott Avenue. The motorist failed to stop, leaving the victim behind, and sped away.
The pedestrian, a 58-year-old Stanton resident, was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Despite medical efforts, he died three days later.
Investigators believe the suspect was driving a red or maroon sedan, which was seen on surveillance video leaving the scene. As of now, the driver has not been found.
