Arcadia, California – A 61-year-old woman killed in a wrong-way collision on the Foothill (210) Freeway early Monday has been identified by authorities as Kellie Higham.
The crash was reported around 2:55 a.m. on the eastbound lanes near Baldwin Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol. Investigators believe Higham was driving a Toyota Camry the wrong direction when it collided head-on with a Toyota Corolla.
Arcadia Fire Department personnel pronounced Higham dead at the scene. The Corolla driver sustained serious injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Officials said it remains unclear why the Camry was traveling against traffic. CHP officers are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
