Los Angeles, California – A motorcyclist died early Wednesday morning after colliding with a wall at a freeway interchange in downtown Los Angeles.
The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m., prompting a response from the California Highway Patrol. Officers arrived at the connector from the westbound Santa Monica (10) Freeway to the northbound Pasadena (110) Freeway, where they located the rider, according to CHP Officer Erik Larsen, who spoke with City News Service.
CHP personnel at the scene reported finding the motorcycle obstructing the center lanes of the 110 Freeway.
The rider, whose identity—including name, age, and gender—had not been confirmed, was declared dead at the scene.
The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation, Larsen said.
