San Diego, California – Authorities have publicly identified the pedestrian killed in a hit-and-run crash over Thanksgiving weekend in the Hillcrest neighborhood.
The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office said 58-year-old Alexander Leroux died at 12:38 a.m. Sunday from multiple blunt-force injuries after being struck by a vehicle late Saturday night.
San Diego Police Department officers and paramedics responded shortly before midnight to the 3500 block of India Street, where they found Leroux unconscious in the roadway. According to investigators, he had been crossing mid-block when he was hit by a silver or gray sedan traveling northbound on India Street with a green light at Vine Street.
Leroux was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
