Bonsall, California – A pedestrian was struck and killed early Tuesday in a hit-and-run crash on Interstate 15 in northern San Diego County, authorities said.
The collision occurred around 12:30 a.m. on the northbound side of the freeway near Old Highway 395 in Bonsall, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Investigators said the driver fled the scene after the fatal impact. The vehicle involved is believed to be a Mazda with noticeable damage to its front end and undercarriage.
