According to ABC10 News in San Diego, four people were airlifted to a hospital, including one individual who required CPR and two others who sustained major injuries.
CHP officers initially shut down traffic lanes in the area at 3:36 p.m. A SigAlert was issued at 5:41 p.m. and remained in effect until it was canceled at 11:14 p.m.
The identity of the person killed has not yet been released. The crash remains under investigation.
